Staten Island, New York, USA 10301

Other Info Featuring: Jeannine Otis, Robert Ross at 7:30 pm. Plus: Bikes Not Bombs & Peace Action of Staten Island (PASI).

The evening will begin with a potluck and conversation at 5:45 pm. We will be joined by a group of Afghan war vets who are part of the Bike Not Bombs Bicycle Tour. Jacob George and his vet friends are embarking on a 250 mile bicycle ride from the World Trade Center site to the White House to mark the 10th anniversary of the invasion of Afghanistan. Their goal is to raise awareness of the reality of war. Read more about their mission at www.operationawareness.org.

Beginning at 7:30 pm in the museum courtyard there will be an hour program “Making Peace with 9/11” including songs performed by well-regarded jazz singer Jeannine Otis and blues guitarist Robert Ross. Participants are invited to read a poem or testimony which will become a part of the Museum video archives.
To include your reflection in the program, please send no more than 150 words to pasi.eblast@gmail.com by September 3rd. How do you make peace with 9/11? FREE Admission.
